Bright pastels and delicate florals were the inspiration for Shannon and Caleb’s wildflower theme wedding at the Postmark Hotel in Newmarket, Ontario. If you’ve been dreaming of this theme or venue, I’d love to share a sneak peek into their day to inspire you for your own wedding! Get a chance to get to see a wedding day through my lens!
WEDDING SNEAK PEEKS: GETTING READY MORNING
Shannon and her bridesmaids, dressed in the most adorable pink button downs, cheersed mimosas together in the sunshine. Caleb had a fun and energetic morning with his groomsmen, sipping scotch and sharing laughs. The wildflower theme wedding was already in full bloom!

HOT TAKE: Getting ready photos don’t always need to be taken in robes! Opt for some cute button downs, nightgowns or slip dresses for a unique but feminine look.
One of the moments I always love to capture is the look on bridesmaids faces when the bride reveals her wedding dress for the first time. Genuine reactions of joy, excitement, and love from the people who support you most are always going to be moments you’ll want to look back on and cherish.

WEDDING GALLERY PEEK: FIRST LOOK DOWN THE AISLE
Everywhere in the wedding industry you currently hear photographers suggesting that First Looks before the ceremony are the way to go. However, I firmly support whatever the couple decides is best for them. Shannon and Caleb chose to keep their first look traditional.
Walking arm in arm with her father down the aisle of their family church in Markham, Ontario, Caleb saw her for the first time and his smile was so big I’m sure his face must have hurt after! Caleb’s sibling and cousin serenaded them and the crowd with a stunning song that had everyone in tears (even me, not kidding!).

WEDDING SNEAK PEEKS: A PASTEL COLOURED DREAM RECEPTION
Shannon wanted to create a whimsical, bright and elegant reception space and boy oh boy she delivered! Personalized touches such as their cats on their cake spoke to their fun and playful side. Their wildflower bouquets and bud vases were a true highlight and pop of colour!
The reception spaces at The Postmark Hotel are modern and chic. The main event space is full of natural light with floor to ceiling windows running along all three sides. It can host up to 120 people in the reception space, and there are 55 rooms available in the hotel on side for guests and couples to stay before and after.
Shannon and Caleb ended the night in the best way, with a live band! Duvet Cover Band absolutely smashed their set, and the newlyweds spent the night dancing, dining and laughing with their closest loved ones way into the night!
