The heart of Golden Hour Photo Co. has always been connection. Connection with my couples, with my art and now with my team. As my business is growing, I realize it’s time to create space for new dreams while staying true to what matters most.
It’s amazing to reflect on what has happened for my business since 2020. At the end of 2019, I decided to launch Golden Hour Photography (little did I know a pandemic would be heading our way 4 months later). While bouncing back from a worldwide lockdown wasn’t ideal, I have been growing this business ever since and have had the honour to meet and photograph so many amazing couples and individuals along the way. Thank you for believing in me and trusting our team!
The Future of Golden Hour Photo Co.
Starting in 2026, Golden Hour Photo Co. will officially be the home for my team and their work. This shift feels exciting because it allows us to keep serving couples like you, while also creating opportunities for new photographers to learn and grow!
My personal work will also have a new home: Clarissa Ann Photo. My personal brand will continue to focus on quiet, luxurious weddings in Ontario and destinations abroad. I want to push my creativity and make space for the slower, more intentional artistry while still leaving room to pour energy into a new branch of my business: coaching and business education.
Golden Hour Photo Co. will continue to grow as a team with new photographers joining each year under an internship. This will offer couples a more accessible option in the $2,800 – $3,800 range. This allows us to offer meaningful, timeless and candid wedding photography while budding photographers get a chance to learn through real experience with the support of proven systems, my direct coaching and a strong team atmosphere.
Photographer Education and Coaching
Since the days before photography, back when I worked in franchising and as a business development coach, leadership and personal development was always a passion of mine.
Golden Hour Photo Co. will become the place where photographers and creatives alike can sharpen their skills in all things business. This will include internship opportunities and a new service I’m developing for photographers, who feel lost setting up their business infrastucture. I’ll be working one on one with photographers to design their business systems and workflows around their lifestyles and goals. Everything from bookkeeping, to CRM set up, to outsourcing will be handled and curated. 1-on-1 clients will have a complete tailored system to their needs and training on how to use it effectively.
I’ll also be hosting quarterly co-working sessions and workshops on various business skills. These are intended to be spaces to connect, grow and learn practical tools that will actually move your business forward!
What’s Going To Look Different On IG
In order to better facilitate this shift, on Instagram, here’s what you can expect to see:
- the @goldenhourphotoco_team page will be phased out, and @goldenhourphotoco will be the new home for my team and their stunning work.
- I’ll be launching @clarissaannphoto, and continue to focus on my personal work for couples and education offerings for photographers.
This shift will allow room for both sides of the business to shine. Golden Hour Photo Co. will be where new photographers can grow and couples can find a thoughtful team member to capture their day. Clarissa Ann Photo will be where I focus on timeless, intentional wedding art.
I’m so grateful for your support in every season of my business. Thank you for cheering me on as I, and we, step in to this next chapter!
